See this smiling chap. This is me getting out for a walk with some friends. Totally against the rules but to be honest I don’t really care. A nice sunny day for a couple of miles around Baal Pit. I arranged it for 1pm. We were a bit late because we spent a bit more time at hospital than expected. The silver lining is I have a chemo holiday for a couple of weeks. The cloud is the old chemo has had no impact on my cancer so I’m about to start some far more brutal treatment.
In the scheme of things this is about as bad as it gets. My best hope was for a couple of years, maybe more instead its 12 months probably less.
Needless to say this isn’t an easy update to write. Tricia and I have spent the last few hours speaking to our families and those who don’t need to find out by reading this. I, without reservation, apologise if I missed you out.
12 people joined me for the walk this afternoon and I got 12 proper hugs. I needed them all. And I need a lot more.
We have some stuff to process which will take a little while so I may go quiet for a couple of days but I still have a lot to say so I’ll be back soon. I’m going to be as active as I can be especially for the next couple of weeks before the next treatment starts.
So for those of you that reside in our tier one area I’m not dead yet and I’m up for most things.
This evenings sky. Lovely!
